About

Meet Robyn

Robyn grew up in a rural village in Southern Ontario, where her family had a large vegetable garden and extensive flower beds; that is where her plant passion began. When she first moved into her own apartment, she began collecting houseplants by the tray full and the obsession continued to grow.

With years of acquiring plants, trial and error, experimentation and troubleshooting, Robyn has done all of the research for you. She’s a self-taught expert when it comes to plant knowledge: light and water requirements, soil types, pots and planters, fertilizer types and techniques—you name it, she likely knows it. She has learned the conditions under which plants thrive and how to make any space feel a little more inviting with a well-placed pop of greenery.

Offering temporary and permanent plant staging installation was the perfect way for Robyn to maintain an interpersonal relationship with local customers. She provides a unique service to clients who want to add that extra touch to their space.

Taking the next step to expand from hobbyist to entrepreneur was a no-brainer. Buying plants online, in Canada at least, isn’t as easy as it should be. There are limited available options, and pricing can be over the top, especially after shipping. Flora and Fern provides all of your favourite picks and can also source that one dream plant on your list, doing so in an easy and accessible manner. In addition to plants, you’ll find a variety of plant-related accessories—from stationery to jewellery, and essentials like plant stands and pots.
